This year, I had the pleasure of working with a new-to-me nonprofit based in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago's West Side. The North Lawndale Employment Network (whose much needed new website will launch in Q1 2024!) works to help people returning from incarceration with all kinds of support, from job skills training and financial literacy to hands-on work. One of NLEN's programs is a working apiary, whose products are released under the name beelove. Enjoy your honey!

A few of you may remember receiving gifts a few years back from Buddy, the Chicago Cultural Center's gift shop. Every single thing for sale at Buddy was created by a Chicago artist, maker, or author. I love supporting this shop and the artists that sell their wares here, and hope you enjoy a little something I picked out just for you.
